Oxidized pewter features a darker, antique-style finish that differs from satin or polished pewter. Because this appearance is intentionally aged, polishing is not necessary and is generally not recommended.

• Do not wash pewter in a dishwasher. Dishwasher detergents and high-temperature wash cycles can damage the finish.
